The Free Lighting Salon is an ongoing series of talks, presentations and consultation in the field of lighting design. Free for anyone and free in its application of thoughts, questions, and ideas for private art or professional projects. The initiative strives to bring together a community and activate discussions on light, often misperceived as an elitist, exclusive affair, but carrying a very real impact on how we feel within a space. Lighting embodies one of design’s most crucial elements in creating comfort, ambience, volumes and forms. With formal salons taking place periodically, As A Ceremony is open to anyone who has questions on a project or is simply eager to learn about the principles of lighting.
